Upcoming PHP security release: preparing platform updates
Resolved13 hours 29 minutes
  • ResolvedUTC

All PHP versions have been upgraded, and older EOL versions have been patched with the fix (8.1, 8.0 and 7.4).

  • MonitoringUTC

Updated PHP versions are being rolled out across all sites now.

  • IdentifiedUTC

php.net will publish a critical PHP security release on Wednesday 21 October 2026 at 14:00 UTC. It fixes two vulnerabilities rated CVSS 9.2, and details will be published with the release. We’re preparing to apply the fixes to the platform as soon as they’re available, and we’ll run an emergency maintenance window to do this safely. All services are currently operational. We’ll post updates here. If your site runs PHP 7.4, 8.0, or 8.1, we recommend upgrading to PHP 8.2 or newer now with PHP Safe Updates: https://wordify.com/blog/introducing-php-safe-updates/

Some sites in the UK region are unavailable
ResolvedMajor outage7 hours 18 minutes
  • ResolvedUTC

This incident has been resolved. The affected UK sites have been back online since 12:17 UTC, following a power event at Google Cloud's London (europe-west2-b) zone that began at approximately 06:04 UTC. Services have remained stable since recovery. If you notice any ongoing issues with your site, please contact our support team. We apologise for the disruption.

  • MonitoringUTC

Google Cloud has restored power and services in its London (europe-west2-b) zone, and the affected sites have been back online since approximately 12:17 UTC. We have checked the service and sites are loading normally. Some sites may be slightly slower than usual for a short time while caches warm up. We are continuing to monitor closely.

  • UpdateUTC

Google Cloud has confirmed the cause: a power event in its europe-west2-b (London) zone, where the affected server is located. Google reports the power issue is now mitigated and expects infrastructure services to begin recovering over the next 30 minutes, with remaining services restored after that. We will bring the affected sites back online as soon as Google's platform allows and will post another update once service is restored.

  • UpdateUTC

Some websites hosted in our UK (London) region remain unavailable. Google Cloud’s networking incident has expanded and now affects 14 regions across Europe. Google has confirmed high packet loss between virtual machines and has not yet given a workaround or an estimated time to resolve.

Until Google’s networking recovers, we can’t bring the affected sites back online. Your website files, databases and email are safe. Nothing has been lost.

Most Wordify sites, including many in the UK, are not affected and are running normally.

We’re monitoring continuously and will restore service the moment Google’s systems allow it.

  • IdentifiedUTC

Since approximately 06:04 UTC, websites hosted on one of our UK (London) servers have been unavailable. Visitors may see timeouts or Cloudflare 52x errors. The cause has been identified as an active incident with our infrastructure provider, Google Cloud, affecting networking in the europe-west2 (London) region. We are working with Google to bring the server back online as quickly as possible and will post an update as soon as we have more information.

  • ResolvedUTC

Please find below the update from Google Cloud, this instance is now resolved - thank you for your paitence while it was resolved:

    ---

    August 3, 2026 at 6:55:08 PM UTC+10

Multiple services may have experienced elevated I/O latency in the us-central1-b zone. Some services hosted in us-central1 and us multi-region were also affected.

The issue with multiple services has been resolved for all affected customers as of Monday, 2026-08-03 01:20 PDT.

Engineering mitigated customer impact by resolving the underlying infrastructure issue.

We thank you for your patience while we worked on resolving the issue.

  • MonitoringUTC

Service has been restored. All affected sites are back online and serving normally.

The incident was caused by a Google Cloud Persistent Disk fault in one of the US region (Google Cloud incident CCWCSMV), which left one of our US front end services unable to restart. We rebuilt the server on healthy infrastructure and restored full service. All customer data and databases are intact.

We are monitoring performance closely as caches warm up. Google's underlying incident remains open, and we will continue to watch for any recurrence.

  • IdentifiedUTC

This incident stems from a Google Cloud Persistent Disk fault in our US region (Google Cloud incident CCWCSMV, ongoing since 05:40 UTC), which left one of our US servers unable to restart.

We have rebuilt the affected system on healthy infrastructure and confirmed all customer data and databases are fully intact. Web traffic is not yet restored while we complete the final network reconfiguration, and we expect recovery shortly.

Sites in the UK, AU and DE regions are unaffected. We will update again within 30 minutes.

  • InvestigatingUTC

We are investigating an issue affecting a subset of WordPress sites hosted in our US region. Affected sites are currently unreachable. Sites in the UK, AU and DE regions are unaffected.

Our team is actively working on recovery and we will update this page within 30 minutes.
